As you may or may not already know, I am a brand ambassador for Energybits. I’ve become a big fan of this company and the great product they sell, spirulina algae. These bits have the highest concentration of protein in the world. The protein is in amino acid form making is easily absorbed by the body. If that wasn’t enough, spirulina algae boasts 40 vitamins and minerals, omega 3s, antioxidants, and electrolytes.
I tried out Energybits a couple of months ago and have been using them before all of my workouts. I can’t claim to be setting records or becoming a superhero when I take my bits but I do think that I’m feeling a difference in my endurance and ability to push myself a little more in my Crossfit workouts. I ran my first 5K without stopping to walk. It was 90 and humid and I’d never even attempted to run more than a mile. I really think Energybits helped me push through to the end. I bike on the weekends and decided to compare rides with and without bits. I did 20 miles bike rides for 2 weekends in a row. I used runkeeper to track my splits and did a comparison. Both bike rides averaged just under 13mph but on my ride with Energybits, I had several splits at almost 15mph. I think the overall time being similar is because of traffic lights I ran into and more people being on the trail that day. Bottom line, they seem to be making a positive difference.
I have a friend who has started taking the Energybits and Vitalitybits. While he is active and works out regularly, he doesn’t do super high intensity and long distance type workouts so he isn’t focused on taking the bits for performance purposes. He likes to view the bits as nature’s multi-vitamin. Not the synthetically created vitamins we are all used to taking everyday. It’s such a fantastic way of looking at the benefits of these bits!
To spread the love, I’m giving away a sample of Energybits so you too can enjoy the many benefits!
